Over the last month, we have made significant progress with the project, having completed the multiple workstreams we had running throughout the previous 6 weeks.
Design
We now have the assets ready to start building the first set of designs for the site:
- Concept designs – by working closely with the brand and TPX Impact teams, these have been agreed upon and not only address several issues with the current brand they also move the Digital brand to the next level.
- Page design – the first sets of Wireframes these are pages with now styling applied to them, are being designed Mobile first as up to 70% of the audience arrives on the site via a mobile device.
The next stage is to apply the concept design to the Wireframes and do some user testing.
Content and User experience
We have now finished the first piece of work to create a Content Governance Framework, this will run throughout the project as a transformation piece of work to change the way we work with the content.
- Architecture/ Navigation of the site – some changes have been tested which involve making some changes to how the content is arranged on the site, further testing needs to be done on some recommendations.
- Content Audit Framework – this has been created with input from the Digital content, Information and Research teams, this will be used as part of the content Governance Framework for the site going forward.
- Personas have now been amended following feedback and will be shared with the wider audience.
Build
- Technical agreement document – summarises the work done to date and why decisions have been made and covers, reviewing: the need for change and speed we need to implement the solution, organisational background in the technical space, the functionality required, the migration methodology and ensuring that we will be able to grow and adapt the solution.
- Systems – the developers are setting up the development environments, in readiness for the next phase of work, which will be the build.
Oversight
- Now session is booked for the 30th of June.
- Go Live – ‘About us’ will be the first section of the new site to go live, as this will allow us to build key components of the site and test them on a lower traffic area of the site, followed by a key strategic area which will be the ‘Information section’.
